The Lowertown Community Association’s Community Safety Committe:
- Monitors data and provides research on key issues affecting public safety in Lowertown.
- Lobbies and works with the City Councillor, City staff, Ottawa Police Services, By-Law Services, social service agencies, businesses for crime prevention and harm reduction.
- Appears before the Police Services Board to represent the interest of the community on key public safety issues such as our interest in reliable crime statistics.
- Works with community members to identify problems and propose measures to improve safety for all residents in the community.
